Board awareness training
As tenants you need the best people on the board to ensure that the organisation reflects your views. Because of the high level of responsibility for board members in running a £40m turnover business with 250 staff and 10,000 homes; Cross Keys needs to ensure board members have the right skills.
Board members are non-executive directors under Company Law and trustees under Charity Law. We now pay board members for their expertise and contribution. Payment is £3,000 for members who hold a portfolio position. If tenant members are in receipt of benefits they may choose not to hold a portfolio in which case they are unpaid.
If you are interested in standing for election to Cross Keys Homes’ board you will need to undertake the board awareness training programme to give you the full knowledge of what the role entails, your own personal responsibilities as a board member and those of the board as a whole.
ThisFREE training is open to all tenants who are thinking of standing for election providing they meet the relevant criteriaross Keys’ future
Gaining knowledge and experiences and training
The training will take place during May, daytime, evenings or at weekends depending on the availability of interested tenants. It will include approximately three half-day sessions or evening sessions.
