November 10, 2009
TERRY Fuller regional director of the Homes and Communities Agency spoke at Cross Keys Homes’ fifth birthday celebrations about the department’s plans for the future.
Mr Fuller was one of the guest speakers at the event at The Key Theatre in Peterborough, which was hosted for stakeholders and partners of Cross Keys Homes.
Key themes of the presentation were building new homes, creating employment opportunities, design and sustainability.
Mick Leggett, chief executive of Cross Keys Homes, said: “We were delighted Terry spoke at our conference. He was very insightful and provided food for thought in particular around the ‘added value’ we and other developers can and should provide when building new homes.
“He also covered the value of excellent partnerships which Cross Keys Homes recognises through its development approach with Circle Anglia.”
Other guest speakers included Dr Graeme Codrington who is an award-winning presenter on the topic of different generations and Ben Ticehurst, deputy chief executive of Peterborough City Council.
Since its launch, Cross Keys Homes has transformed the lives of its tenants and their communities with the delivery of a £100m home improvement programme which it will complete a year-and-a-half ahead of schedule in March 2010. In addition the organisation has invested nearly £5m on environmental works such as increased car parking; extra street lighting and creating open spaces.
