Andy Orrey (Chair)
Andy has been in the Housing sector for 9 years, the last 7 years as CEO of Ongo, during which time the company has been transformed into a top performing association in terms of customer satisfaction. The organisation has recently branched out in commercial ventures and now employs nearly 50 staff that support the local community. Prior to Housing, Andy was a Finance Director of Bombardier Transportation UK, an engineering company manufacturing trains and held various other internationally based Financial Director roles. Andy's particular interests are in developing a learning culture within organisations, cutting out waste, creating staff engagement and happy customers. In his spare time he loves nothing better than cycling, playing golf and watching rugby.
He is also a Board member for North Lindsey College, Leeds and Yorkshire Housing association and the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise partnership.
Andy sees his primary role as maintaining the strength of Cross Keys Homes, ensuring that each generation of board members leaves the organisation in a better place and that there will always be a high quality social housing stock in Peterborough and beyond for those people that need it.
