Are you currently out of work and finding it hard to break down the barriers that are stopping you getting into work?
The Community Connections project could be for you. It offers flexible one to one support to help you to achieve your future goals and aspirations. We can offer you a range of free courses that meet your needs, encourage and support you to engage in community events and help you to get out there and do some volunteering, to give you confidence, new skills and the chance to meet new people. All of this will bring you closer to finding the right employment for you.
If you live in Peterborough and are looking to get new skills and experience to get into work, or would like support with job hunting, Community Connections can offer you the flexible support tyou need.
The project is funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery, through the Big Lottery Fund as part of the Building Better Opportunities Project.
In order to be eligible for the support you must:
- be aged 15 or over
- have the right to live and work in the UK
- be unemployed or economically inactive. This means you will not be able to join the scheme if you are in part-time work or a zero hours contract, even if they are receiving Universal Credit or Jobseeker’s Allowance. You will work with a Community Connections coach who will provide you with one to one sessions tailored to best meet your needs.
We will provide the services to help you progress towards employment: accredited learning, work training, counselling, and employability programmes
