If you are looking to find a job and need support, Community Connections North is a flexible programme that can help you develop the skills you need to make that step into work.
Community Connections North is a network of local specialist support organisations with a wide range of expertise to help build skills and confidence to get into employment.
The programme is tailored specifically to your individual needs, whatever and however complex they may be, and you will have your own mentor to support you on your journey.
Through the programme you’ll be encouraged to engage in community events and take on volunteering roles to help you to develop your confidence, gain experience and feel connected to your community, with the ultimate goal of getting into work.
The programme is funded as part of Building Better Opportunities by the European Social Fund, the National Lottery Community Fund.

Who is it for?
The project is open to anyone aged 15 or over there is no upper limit. It is here to help you if you are at a disadvantage when finding employment – this could be due to a disability, learning difficulty, you may be claiming benefits or economically inactive or have a wide range of other issues.
Residents of Peterborough, Wisbech, March, Whittlesey, Chatteris, Kings Lynn, West Norfolk, Rutland, Huntingdonshire, Ely and East Cambridgeshire, The area of the Greater Cambridge and Greater Peterborough LEP Fenland area (GCGP LEP).
What does the programme include?
This flexible programme is designed to meet your personal needs. Areas covered include:
- Identifying the development needs and support you require
- Information, advice and guidance session.
- Mentor to provide continuing support throughout the programme
- Action plan to map out the relevant support and time frames needed
- A bespoke package of support to overcome the issues you face
- Support applying for jobs
The length of the programme is determined by your needs.
