Peterborough City Council has recently launched a new handyperson service to help disabled, older and vulnerable residents who may need a bit of help with small jobs around the house.
This service is free of charge for the labour, however, you will need to pay for any materials required.
The handyperson scheme can help with a whole range of minor works for example putting up shelving or curtain rails. Work will be carried out by vetted contractors.
For emergency repairs, contractors will try to visit residents within two-hours. Non-urgent jobs will be carried out within two weeks of the initial booking.
For more information about this scheme or to request work to be done, call Peterborough City Council's care and repair team on: 01733 863860.
