Employees benefit from career development programme

Eighteen employees have been formally recognised after successfully completing an internal management fundamentals programme.

We have developed our own internal training programme to help employees further develop their careers as managers as well as encouraging those aspiring to become managers to take the next step on their career path.

The programme included three workshops with pre and post activities in between providing the essential tools required for today’s leading managers - combining theoretical, ‘how to’ information and practical applications. The participants were required to draw on their own experiences and open themselves up to feedback to help them further develop their managerial skills. From effective team engagement to encouraging great conversations; our Management Fundamentals course offered an all-encompassing learning experience.

Cross Keys Homes’ Chief Executive, Claire Higgins, said: “I am extremely proud of everyone who has completed this management fundamentals course. It was a demanding and challenging schedule and so it was an absolute pleasure to present colleagues with their completion certificates at our celebration event to reflect all the hard work and effort the participants put in over the course of the programme.

“We are passionate about professional and personal development and have the process and tools in place to support our employees to continue to grow, succeed and flourish in their roles.”

The success of our Management Fundamentals programme which was developed in partnership with local coaching company, Inspire Ignite, has meant that it has been formally recognised by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

Cross Keys Homes’ Executive Director of Organisational Effectiveness and HR, Allison Long, added: “We are committed to professional development. We are keen to ensure that everyone at CKH has the very best learning and development training options available to them and heavily invest in our employees to help them to develop and reach their full potential.  We’re particularly keen to continue to develop great leaders who in turn will develop and engage great people for CKH to retain. This is all part of being an Employer of Choice.

“Our Management Fundamentals programme has been a fantastic in-house learning experience which has really helped our managers to further develop themselves. Well done to all the eighteen employees who completed this programme.”
