We are teaming up with Nene Park Trust and Froglife to give you the once in a lifetime opportunity to gain work experience as a park ranger at Ferry Meadows.

The eight week course is open to anyone aged 18-24 and not in education, experience or training. You will shadow current Rangers as they go about their work in Ferry Meadows and Froglife nature reserves, and will gain a great insight into the role, as well as learning valuable, transferrable skills.

You will also learn willow weaving, how to maintain the willow maze, tend the trees in the park’s onsite nursery and maintenance of the Native Tree Trail. You will also learn woodworking and conservation skills.

So, if you love the outdoor life and want some great skills to put on your CV, this is the course for you! We can also help you with transport costs to Ferry Meadows, and safety boots will be provided.

The course will start on 12 September 2023, running every Tuesday for eight weeks.
