We are teaming up with Nene Park Trust to give you the once in a lifetime opportunity to gain work experience as a park ranger at Ferry Meadows.

The five week course is open to anyone aged 18-24 and not in education, experience or training. You will shadow current Rangers as they go about their work in the Park, and will gain a great insight into the role, as well as learning valuable, transferrable skills.

You will also learn willow weaving, how to maintain the willow maze, tend the trees in the park’s onsite nursery and maintenance of the Native Tree Trail. You will also learn woodworking skills.

You’ll also have the opportunity to go on and do a further three weeks conservation volunteering at the Park. More great experience for your CV!

So, if you love the outdoor life and want some great skills to put on your CV, this is the course for you! We can also help you with transport costs to Ferry Meadows, and safety boots will be provided.

The course is being funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund as a #YourCommunityGreenspace project, and will start on 5 July 2022, running every Tuesday for five weeks.
