Our care service, Cross Keys Care, is celebrating today having won the prestigious ‘Housing with Care’ award in the Great British Care Awards, Eastern Region.

Our Kingfisher Court extra care scheme, located in Stanground, Peterborough, fought off tough competition to scoop the award, and will now go through to the national finals.

At Kingfisher Court, which opened in 2014, we pride ourself on the community we have built for residents, with a full activity calendar and bustling restaurant, as well as the highest quality care and support from our own care team.

The judges said: “The Kingfisher Court team are a shining example of how housing with care can deliver care with dignity and compassion, and truly put the person first every time. The team spoke with one voice truly recognising the interdependence of the environment and empowering people to live fulfilling lives.”

Cross Keys Care has been operating for six years and in that time the service has become Peterborough’s leading provider of independent living solutions, offering two extra care schemes, care for people in their own homes and the LifeLine emergency alarm system.
