New programme of courses for 2022

Thanks to funding from Peterborough City College's Community Learning Trust we have a great programme of courses to help you to reach your potential this year.

These courses will be available in person, at various locations across Peterborough, and also on CKH Learning, our virtual college, so you can learn at home, whenever suits you. To find out more and sign up for these courses, either in person or online, just complete the form at the bottom of the page and we will be in touch.

Positive Change: Become a Volunteer

This course will give you all the skills you need to become a volunteer, either with CKH or with another organisation.

By the end of the course you will have a full understanding of what volunteering is and the skills, knowledge and experience you need to volunteer in lots of different roles. 

In addition you will learn:

  • Great customer service skills.
  • Appropriate behaviour while volunteering.
  • The importance of safeguarding.
  • The importance of equality and diversity.
  • How to identify Health and Safety hazards in the workplace.

By the end of the course you’ll understand all the benefits of volunteering and how it can change your life for ever!

This course is available online on CKH Learning .

In person training available on Wednesday 15 June, 9.30am – 3pm, at our Westwood Community Hub, Hampton Court, Peterborough, PE3 7JB.

You Matter: Wellbeing for Parents

Aimed especially for those of you with little ones, this course will help you to explore your mindset and motivation, and help you to succeed. 

We’ll help you create a bucket list of everything you want to achieve, then help you to break down the barriers to achieve them. You’ll also write your own inspirational quote based on your personal experiences.

You’ll learn what SMART targets are and you’ll write you own targets for training, work and life. We’ll equip you with everything you need to reach those goals and write your life story! 

In person training available on Tuesday 7 June, 9.30am – 2.30pm, at our Westwood Community Hub, Hampton Court, Peterborough, PE3 7JB.

 

Successful Me

Aimed at those of you looking to get into work, this course will help you to outline your life, training and work goals, identify any barriers and put in place a clear plan to achieve you aims.
