Employability courses at City College Peterborough

Boost your workplace skills and become more employable with City College Peterborough’s employability training – Get that Job.

Perhaps you’re in between jobs at the moment, or you’re looking to gain some new skills to get you back into the workplace? Either way, their employability training will help you gain the skills necessary to become a successful employee.

Employability courses are free to the unemployed and those on a limited income (subject to eligibility).

Places are strictly limited and enrolment is subject to availability and eligibility. You will be expected to commit to completing the programme

Entry criteria:

  • You will need to be over 19 years old  
  • You will need to be able to read and write to a Level 1 literacy level as workbooks are completed as part of the course
  • You will need to bring their benefit paperwork with them.

CKH Work Clubs

People learning on a computer CKH's Work Clubs offer a relaxed and friendly environment where you can get help looking for work. You can get tips on how to write a good CV, complete application forms, prepare for interviews and search for jobs on the internet.

  • Hampton Work Club, Hampton Library, every Friday at 9.30am
  • Westwood Work Club, Westwood Hub, every Friday at 10.30am
  • Bretton Work Club, Bretton Library, every Friday at 1pm

Prince’s Trust Online Offer

The Prince’s Trust have launched a new digital platform which will provide an innovative way for vulnerable young people to access its services. The portal is designed for young people aged 18-30 who can’t attend their programmes in person because of where they live or their personal circumstances.

The Trust currently have two programmes available for young people to access online: Enterprise and Employability.  These programmes will support young people to learn the skills they need for self-employment or employment.
