Cross Keys Homes has recently held a Dragons Den style event for fifteen budding entrepreneurs who have recently completed a twelve week business start-up course. The successful candidates will receive a share of a pot of money towards their business start-up costs.
The participants in the event have recently completed a business start-up course run for Cross Keys Homes by Enterprise Cube. The course involved all aspects of starting up and running a successful small business. Businesses vying for the money include a hairdresser specialising in wigs for those suffering hair loss, a dog walking service, an exotic pet business and a company selling Polish food. There was also a Dr Who and sci fi memorabilia trader and a couple of mechanics.
One of the Dragons was Claire Higgins, Deputy Chief Executive of Cross Keys Homes: “I was so impressed with the quality of goods and services on offer. We are still debating over which companies should receive the money – they were all so deserving. It has been one of the hardest decisions I have made this year! The course participants have made such great progress and are well on their way to running successful businesses. We wish them all the best of luck!”
