News story published on 19 January 2015

Cross Keys Homes has purchased its first properties for rent at market levels in the heart of the Peterborough  to provide more housing opportunities for  people in Peterborough.

Already a respected housing association providing more than 10,000 affordable homes locally including social, sheltered housing, extra care, shared ownership, four homeless hostels and many affordable rented properties; Cross Keys Homes has now registered a new company called Cambridgeshire Homes to embark on new more commercial housing.

Having purchased an existing block of luxurious apartments at Saffron Court on Park Road, Cambridgeshire Homes is going to continue the Cross Keys Homes’ tradition of being a high quality and professional landlord.

Cross Keys Homes’ Chief Executive, Claire Higgins, said: “This is a true milestone for us and we are looking forward to Cambridgeshire Homes’ property portfolio growing. Our development team led by David Keeling have achieved great things in a short space of time and there is much more to come.”

“As an already highly regarded landlord, we felt that it was important to extend our reach to those who are privately renting to give them the kind of service we offer our existing residents.”

Cross Keys Homes will look to grow its market rent portfolio as other opportunities arise.
