We have been successful in securing over £15,000 of funding through City College Peterborough’s Community Learning Trust fund.
Thanks to this funding we are looking to deliver a series of basic community learning skill courses around the city to help adult learners who are least likely to participate in mainstream learning.
The courses will include basic home maintenance, arts and crafts with confidence building, healthy eating, cooking on a budget, and essential support services.
With courses starting from November and running through to June 2018, we are hoping to help support over 90 new learners thanks to this funding.
Kate Newbolt, Service Manager - Customer, Community and Stakeholder Engagement at Cross Keys Homes, said: “We are deeply committed to supporting our communities and individual households to access the right support, information and skills that they require to establish sustainable foundations for the future.
“We want to help our communities to continue to thrive and develop so that individuals can reach their full potential, and thanks to this funding from the City College Peterborough we are able to help even more individuals access the courses they require to help them continue to flourish in their lives.”
Sharon Preston High from City College Peterborough, added: “City College Peterborough are really pleased to be able to work with Cross Keys Homes again this year on our Community Learning Trust projects.
