Christmas is a time of year that generates more household waste than any other. This can often end up being flytipped, which is unsightly, dangerous and costly for both ourselves and the Council to collect. If you end up with a lot of waste after Christmas there is a free solution.
Peterborough City Council are making free bulky waste collections until 9 March 2018.
This trial is limited to one free collection per household on a first come first served basis and limited to 10 items from list A.
Only items from list A as listed below will be eligible and all list B will still be subject to charge.
Please ensure items are placed out by 6.45am and left where your bins are normally collected from.
To book a free bulky waste collection, you will need to call Peterborough City Council's customer services 01733 747474 (starting from 4 December). The first collections will take place the following week (11 December) and lines will close for free bulky waste collection on 5 March.
Usually there is a charge of £23.50 per collection for items on list A below, this is a one-off charge not per item. Items on list B will be quoted on an individual basis.
