We've been shortlisted in care awards

Our outstanding service and dedicated employees have been recognised by being shortlisted in not one but nine categories of the Eastern Region Great British Care Awards.

Our Community Care team has been shortlisted in the Care Employer category, plus, our Kingfisher Court extra care scheme is a finalist in the Housing with Care category. Kingfisher Court was our first extra care scheme, opened in 2014 and located in Stanground.

In addition, seven individual employees have been recognised in different categories, including the Dignity in Care, Palliative Care and Homecare Registered Managers awards.

The nominees will now go forward to a judging day later this month before the winners are announced at a celebratory gala dinner in November.

As the city’s leading provider of independent living solutions, we combine supported housing with the latest technology in telecare, and traditional personal care to ensure older and vulnerable people are able to enjoy living the life they want to in their own homes. We also provide two extra care schemes in Peterborough, Kingfisher Court and Lapwing Apartments - helping to provide independence of living in your own home, but with the reassurance of a little more support and care on hand.

Claire Higgins, our Chief Executive, said: “Our teams work so hard each and every day, and consistently go above and beyond to ensure they deliver the best possible care to our residents and customers. It is wonderful that they are being congratulated publicly for the fantastic job they do.  It can never be said enough that the service they provide really does change lives for the better, and they do it all with so much passion, warmth, respect and affection. I wish them all the very best in the judging day, and for these highly sought after prestigious awards.”
