Cross Keys Homes is a commercial business with a social heart, dedicated to providing high quality, affordable housing and building communities.
We are Peterborough’s largest social housing landlord, managing over 11,000 properties and housing around 14% of the city’s population. We are also growing, moving into new areas, including Godmanchster, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Higham Ferrers. We provide homes through social housing, shared ownership, private rent and leasehold.
We want to ensure that great, affordable homes are available to even more people. So, to help tackle the housing crisis, we’re building more affordable homes. Over the last 10 years, we’ve built over 1,300 new homes. And by 2018 we will be building 400 per year.
But we’re more than just a landlord. We want to make neighbourhoods happy and vibrant places to live in. So we actively work to improve the communities we work in. To do that, we’re investing in our surroundings and investing in people. From creating outdoor gyms, green spaces and communal facilities to providing training, education and support - all to help people back to work.
As the city’s largest provider of independent living, we’re also dedicated to the needs of older and vulnerable people. With our LifeLine emergency alarm service, community care, sheltered housing and our state-of the-art extra care facilities like Kingfisher Court, we help people to stay safe in their own homes.
