We've been awarded a ‘Carer-Friendly Employer of the Year’ award
We're delighted to announce that after attending the first-ever Harry's Pledge Awards last week, we have been awarded with a 'Carer-Friendly Employer of the Year' Bronze award.
Our Chief Executive, Claire Higgins, said: "This is fantastic news and a real testament to how far we have come in supporting our colleagues with additional caring responsibilities since signing up as an early adopter to Harry's Pledge .
"We all know that it can be extremely hard to balance the responsibilities of being a carer for a family member or friend with the demands of work. That's why CKH created a 'Supporting Carers at Work' policy to recognise the challenges that employees face with caring responsibilities and ensure they feel support, understood and valued in the workplace."
The policy provides guidance, flexibility and practical support to help colleagues balance their work commitments with their caring responsibilities, creating a more inclusive and understanding working environment where CKH colleagues feel able to thrive.
