New community garden space to promote good mental health

Volunteers for CKH are currently hard at work building a garden in Dogsthorpe to help residents with their mental health challenges. Gardening and spending time with nature has been proven to improve mood and help people to feel better. That’s why CKH has transformed a previously unloved piece of land on Olive Road in Dogsthorpe into a little oasis of calm where people will be able to have their own space to cultivate and grow.

Preparation of the site is now well under way and anyone interested in either volunteering in the build and ongoing maintenance of the garden or benefiting from the healing power of gardening to improve their own mental health should contact the CKH Communities team on 01733 396404 or email community@crosskeyshomes.co.uk
