Water temperatures impacted by heatwave

Important information: Anglian Water have advised residents in Peterborough that they may reduce water pressure during this heatwave to make sure every home maintains a supply of running water.

When the mains cold water pressure is reduced, it is normal to experience your showers as hotter. That is because the reduced pressure will add less cold water into the mix. So, even with your shower set at a lower temperature, the water may feel hotter than usual.

If you find the water temperature too hot, Anglian Water advise avoiding peak hours of between 7 and 9am and 4 and 7pm. Water pressure is likely to be at its lowest during these times.

There is no need to report a repair as your water temperature should return to normal after the heatwave when Anglian Water restore normal water pressure.
