Kickstart work experience

We have a wide range of opportunities with for six months paid work experience as part of the government’s KickStart scheme. You’ll also receive full on-the-job training as well as help and support with literacy, numeracy, computer skills, work etiquette and finding a job at the end of your placement. To apply, you need to be in aged 18-24 and in receipt Universal Credit. Please speak to your Work Coach at the JobCentrePlus for more details about any roles you like, and to see if it is the right opportunity for you.

Careers Clubs

Our Careers Clubs are now running, however, you need to book your place in advance. We are also able to offer you one to one support over the phone or by email if you are looking for work.  Contact  us to find out more about Career Clubs or book your place.

We can help with CV writing, applications and interview skills as well as finding opportunities to begin with. You can also access the support of our Career Clubs online, through CKH Learning. 

Learn my Way

Spend eight weeks learning the basic skills you need to go digital! Our trainers will give you the confidence you need to start using online services and keep in touch with the people that matter to you.

You’ll learn about:

  • Talking to people online 

  • Online shopping

  • Securing your personal information  

  • Creating your MyCKH account.
