Shared Ownership Week 2025
Today begins the start of Shared Ownership Week (24-30 September), a week dedicated to raising awareness about shared ownership.
For those who do not know much about shared ownership, the premise is really simple – you buy a share in your house, and pay your mortgage on that share, and then you rent the remainder share from us (CKH). The real advantage is that you only need the deposit for the share you are buying, not the whole value of the home, which reduces considerably the amount of deposit you need. You can then buy further shares in your home at a time that suits you, until you own your home outright.
