New affordable homes at Lakewood Meadows
A successful handover of 14 new affordable homes has taken place at the Lakewood Meadows development in Peterborough, as Barratt and David Wilson Homes formally transferred the new properties to us.
CKH's Development Officer, Hollie Nightingale and Sales Executive, Anj Dawson, were welcomed to the site by Barratt and David Wilson Homes' Site Manager, Richard Marriott, to officially complete the handover. Also present for the handover was CKH's Employers Agent, Gateley Built Environment's Senior Clerk of Works, Mike Gallucci.
The event marked a significant step in the ongoing commitment by both organisations to provide much needed high-quality new homes in Peterborough and are part of Barratt and David Wilson Homes' wider development plans at Great Haddon.
Richard Marriott, Site Manager at Barratt and David Wilson Homes South Midlands, said: “We are delighted to work closely with Cross Keys Homes to provide 51 new properties comprising a mix of homes, apartments and maisonettes, with some wheelchair adaptive apartments too.”
Cross Keys Homes' Chief Executive, Claire Higgins, added: “We are delighted to have completed the first handover of nine apartments, consisting of 1 and 2-bedrooms, and five 2-bedroom affordable new homes on this site and look forward to working with Barratt David Wilson over the next four years as we receive more than 50 affordable homes in total. These new homes will provide a mixture of affordable rented and shared ownership homes helping to meet local housing needs while supporting a thriving community.”
The new affordable homes will be handed over to us in phases with all homes expected to be handed over by June 2030.
