We run courses in partnership with a range of local organisations to help you to gain new skills and get a qualification. 

As well as our the courses listed on this page, we also offer opportunities for you to get into work and develop your computer skills

All of our support is free of charge and you do not need to be a CKH resident to take part.

Free support with English and Maths

Having a good standard or maths and English can help you in many ways. It will improve your chances of succeeding at work or in training, as well as giving your confidence a boost. We are offering free access to the BKSB portal so that you can learn, improve and gain a nationally recognised qualification in Functional Skills English and Maths. 

Sessions run every Wednesday, 10am to 12pm at our Westwood Hub

Get into Gardening

Learn the basics of gardening in just two days with WestRaven's horticulture and gardening course. This course is perfect for job seekers and provides practical experience and a certificate upon completion. Join us for an informative and hands-on learning experience

A two day seasonal cooking skills class. Develop your cooking skills with a vegetable and meat quiche and yummy dessert.

Level 1 and Level 2 Free Food Hygiene Courses

The course offers various training modules, including an introduction to food safety, microbiological hazards, food poisoning and its control, contamination hazards and controls, safe handling and storage of food, personal hygiene, food pests and pest control, cleaning, and disinfection.
